PONS IP Colombia, the Bogotá-based office of the global consulting firm specialising in intellectual property, continues its growth strategy with the announcement of two internal promotions, Nicolás Carvajal and Andrea Díaz, along with the announcement of the incorporation of lawyers Stephanie Ortiz and Marcela López, to reinforce the PONS IP team in the Andean country. Following this double announcement, Claudia Lucía Caro, General Manager of the consulting firm’s Colombia office said: “This is a step that will help the company to successfully face this new stage and will also serve to respond to the challenges of the LATAM market and support the entire global team within the consulting firm.”
After eight years in the company, Nicolás Carvajal has been promoted to the position of Technical Director of Patents, taking over responsibility for the department and the management of the team. As a result of his experience accumulated in recent years, where Mr Carvajal has been recognised among the leading professionals in the sector in the main international rankings, PONS IP is today one of the leading companies in the protection of patented assets in the Andean country and in Latin America.
Andrea Díaz has also been promoted to Senior Lawyer in the Litigation area on the team led by Juan Camilo Amaya, Assistant Director of PONS IP Colombia. With her entire career linked to the consulting firm, Ms Díaz has progressively risen in responsibility within PONS IP until reaching the position she will now occupy.
Thus, at the beginning of this new stage of growth and internationalisation for the company in Latin America, PONS IP has expanded its team with the incorporation of Stephanie Ortiz as Junior Lawyer and Marcela López as Paralegal , thus reinforcing the team of professionals in the Litigation area of PONS IP. “With these two additions, together with the promotion of our internal talent, we are convinced that PONS IP Colombia will continue on the path of growth and achieve many successes at a business level,” concluded Claudia Lucía Caro.
