Today, April 26, is World Industrial and Intellectual Property Day and we at PONS IP wanted to join this celebration by releasing a new episode on our “Invention Privileges” podcast channel.
On this occasion, we had the privilege of having three of the most authoritative voices in the field of innovation and Industrial Property in Spain: Aída Fernández, Director of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, Ana Castro, Vice-President of Innovation and Transfer at CSIC, and Nuria Marcos, our General Director. Together, they emphasised the value of women’s contribution to promoting innovative activity and Industrial and Intellectual Property in Spain, in line with the theme selected by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) for this year: “Women and IP: Accelerating innovation and creativity”.
During the episode, the current situation of women in the field of innovation was analysed based on their responsibility and experience, and actions and proposals for improvement were shared. You can listen to the full episode here.
Moreover, as part of the activities scheduled for this day, our General Director, Nuria Marcos, was interviewed by Business Insider to offer an accurate view of the current panorama and address some of the most relevant issues and challenges faced by Industrial and Intellectual Property both in Spain, Europe and the rest of the world. Happy Industrial and Intellectual Property Day!
