PONS IP once again has triple representation in the 2024 edition of the WTR 1000 -World’s Leading Trademark Professionals-, a list that is already a benchmark within the intellectual property sector worldwide and which each year individually recognises the main professionals of the leading companies in the sector on the major markets at a global level. In this latest edition, three professionals from the PONS IP team have been recognised in this particular ranking which reinforces the leading position of PONS IP in both the Spanish and Latin American markets, both from the point of view of strategy and protection of intangible assets as well as in legal defence and litigation in the trademark field.
In this way, WTR 1000 has highlighted in its section aimed at professionals the work, execution and innovative capacity of three of our main specialists in the design of protection strategies in the trademark field: Isabel Cortés, lawyer specialising in trademarks and Head of Institutional Projects and Relations at PONS IP, José Carlos Erdozain, of Counsel at the consultancy firm and Juan Camilo Amaya, lawyer specialising in intellectual property and Deputy Director of the PONS IP Office in Colombia. Their presence and repetition in 2024 on the list consolidates and reinforces their position as benchmarks in the sector along with the group of the top 1,000 specialists in the field of management and defence of intellectual property assets at a global level.
This international publication highlights the extensive experience and professionalism of our Head of Projects and Institutional Relations, Isabel Cortés, with more than 25 years collaborating with international clients and international brand portfolios with “always clear and consistent efficient results”, according to World Trademark Review.
As for José Carlos Erdozain, PhD in intellectual property and Of counsel at PONS IP since 2015, the ranking highlights “his extensive experience in litigation, arbitration and general IP advising.” It also includes his international role because “he is often called upon for his expertise in international contracts and arbitration.”
In the case of our Latam Desk from the PONS IP Office in Colombia, the presence of Juan Camilo Amaya in this new edition of the WTR 1000 in 2024 is due to “his good know-how” with clients and his great commitment to them through “the constant dialogue he maintains with them throughout the entire trademark consultation process.” Today, the WTR 1000 is an industry benchmark, as it focuses exclusively on trademark practice, and has established itself as the definitive resource for those seeking top-notch legal advising in relation to trademarks.
