PONS IP wraps up INTA 2026 strengthening its international leadership in industrial and intellectual property

PONS IP completed its participation in the Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association (INTA) 2026, held from 2 to 6 May in London, further cementing its position as a leading consulting firm in the global discussion on Industrial and Intellectual Property. The event, which is the sector’s leading international forum, brought together around 9,500 professionals from over 140 jurisdictions, against a backdrop of rapid technological advances and the review of regulatory frameworks affecting intangible assets.

Over the course of five days, the 2026 edition addressed some of the key challenges facing IP on a global scale, such as developments in trademark law, the impact of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, the international protection of intangible assets, data governance, and models for creating and monetising value linked to innovation.

Once again, PONS IP attended this year’s INTA with a large delegation comprising seven professionals and a packed schedule focused on institutional engagement, trend analysis and strengthening strategic relationships. The consulting firm’s representation was led by Isabel Cortés, Director of Institutional Projects, and Guillermo Criado, Director of International Business Development, both of whom hold strategic roles within INTA’s own organisation.

At the institutional and policy level, Isabel Cortés participated in several work seminars led by the Famous and Well‑Known Marks committee, one of INTA’s leading bodies in defining the criteria and policies relating to the protection of well-known and renowned trademarks.  Her participation meant that PONS IP was able to contribute to the analysis of legislative and regulatory developments in different jurisdictions, focusing on regulatory consistency and legal certainty for companies operating internationally.

For his part, Guillermo Criado has served as a member of the INTA Bulletin Correspondents Pool, providing regulatory follow-up, legal analysis and commentary on current affairs to the INTA Bulletin, the sector’s leading publication. Through this role, PONS IP strengthens its involvement in disseminating specialised knowledge and the international legal debate.

Over 300 strategic meetings and qualified networking

Alongside Isabel Cortés and Guillermo Criado, the PONS IP delegation in London included Rocío Peris, Commercial Director; Juan Camilo Amaya, Assistant Director of PONS IP Colombia; and consultants from the International Division: José Pons, Jialin Chen and Carlota Sánchez-Espedes.

Overall, the PONS IP team scheduled over 300 meetings with partners, associated offices, clients, professional colleagues and other key players in the international IP ecosystem. These meetings have strengthened strategic partnerships, identified emerging trends and explored new opportunities for collaboration, with the aim of passing on this knowledge to the consulting firm’s clients in the form of strategic advice and high-value-added solutions.

By participating in INTA 2026, PONS IP consolidates its commitment to industrial and intellectual property as a strategic infrastructure for innovation, competitiveness and risk management, and reaffirms its promise to take a global, proactive and business-oriented approach to intangible assets.
