With a new focus and centred on technological innovation, the master’s degree offers content and teachers at the forefront of market demands.

PONS Escuela de Negocios, together with the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía (ISDE) (Higher Institute of Law and Economics), has inaugurated the 19th edition of the Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property and Technological Innovation. In this 2024-2025 academic year, the master’s degree has 20 students from different countries, such as Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, Dominican Republic and Spain.

Our consulting firm, once again, plays a relevant role from an academic point of view in this programme, as several of the main directors of PONS IP are actively involved in this postgraduate programme at present. In this sense, our lawyer and head of Projects and Institutional Relations, Isabel Cortés, is the director of the Master’s Degree and coordinates the Trademark, Competition and Advertising Module, while Luis Ignacio Vicente, Strategic Advisor of PONS IP, together with Patricia Ramos, Assistant Director-General of PONS IP, leads the Patent and Technological Innovation training module. In addition to them, some of the main professionals from the PONS IP team are part of the master’s degree teaching staff, contributing their experience and knowledge to those who will be the future experts in the sector.

Miriam López, Academic Director at PONS Escuela de Negocios; María Jesús Magro, our General Director; José Manuel Otero Lastres, Honorary Director; José Javier Hombrados Ibañez, Director of Institutional Relations at ISDE; and Alfredo Bermúdez de Castro, for his role as Director of this postgraduate course, which he shares with Isabel Cortés, all took part in the event.

The General Director of PONS Escuela de Negocios, María Jesús Magro, spoke about the importance of intellectual property and new technologies in the context of globalisation. María Jesús emphasised how technological change is transforming business dynamics and the need for trained professionals to navigate in this new environment, as well as the wisdom of opting for this master’s degree with its highly qualified teaching staff.
