PONS IP Colombia, a global consulting firm specialising in intellectual property, became an affiliate member of the Colombian-Chinese Chamber of Investment and Commerce, the non-profit binational organisation whose main objective is to promote trade and business relations between Colombia and the People’s Republic of China.
Through this membership, PONS IP Colombia strengthens its presence as a key player in the Colombian business structure, focusing on improving both the growth and internationalisation of companies belonging to the Colombian and Chinese sectors, respectively. Thus, PONS IP will offer its experience as an Intellectual Property consulting firm and advise the organisation from the perspective of technological sovereignty.
The intellectual property consulting firm will therefore provide its expertise in trademarks and brand intelligence; in patents, technological development and innovation; in intangible asset valuation; and in data protection and information security.
Furthermore, its participation in the Chamber will be enhanced thanks to the way in which the PONS IP consulting firm has demonstrated its commitment to both countries, after nearly 10 years with its own Office in China led by Jialin Chen from Guangzhou. This will enable PONS IP to achieve greater effectiveness when offering advice to promote the growth of companies with an interest in both countries, thanks to the extensive experience of its offices in both countries.
For Claudia Caro, director of the PONS IP Colombia office, this membership represents “the backing of security and trust in international operations, becoming a major opportunity for Colombian and Chinese companies to access a comprehensive legal and intellectual property service that allows them to effectively navigate the Chinese and Colombian markets with the help of an expert, in addition to harnessing opportunities for growth and internationalisation”.
