Carmen González Candela, Director of the Trademark and Brand Intelligence Area at PONS IP, has been nominated in the category of “Practitioner of the Year (Patent & Trademark Attorney Firms)” for the Managing IP EMEA Awards 2024. Along with nine other professionals in the sector, she must wait until 11 April, when the awards will be announced at the gala in London.

The Managing IP EMEA publication, which began in 2006, is currently a global reference in the industrial property sector. These awards recognise the sector’s top firms and professionals at the European level, acknowledging the work that these agents carry out in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. To select the finalists and winners, Managing IP conducts both market studies and different surveys of clients and other firms in the sector.

In addition to this individual representation by Carmen González Candela, PONS IP as a company is a double nominee in the categories of Patent Prosecution and Trademark Prosecution (Patent & Trademark Attorney Firms).

Thus, PONS IP is up for two awards as a firm, recalling that it already won one of these awards in 2021. In the 16th Managing Awards Gala 2020, this global firm specialised in comprehensive intellectual property consulting was chosen “Firm of the Year” in the Trademark Consulting and Prosecution category (Firm of the Year – Trademark Prosecution Patent & Trademark Attorney).
