In addition to leading the latest EU trademark filing ranking, PONS IP is at the top of a new ranking in the World Trademark Review (WTR) which, on this occasion, has distinguished us as a leading international trademark firm. The 2018 World’s Leading Trademark Professionals ranking honors the industry’s most prestigious professionals worldwide, including two of our managers: José Carlos Erdozain, Head of the Legal Department, and Isabel Cortés, Head of International Affairs. Thus, the journal recommends our company within the Enforcement and Litigation category, as well as in Prosecution and Strategy category.
WTR highlights the exceptional oratory skills and strategic intuition of our legal director. They believes that Erdozain “plays a leading role in dispute resolution; he litigates, mediates and negotiates with equal adroitness.” To create the ranking, WTR assesses the opinion of colleagues and experts from other IP companies, among other parameters.
As regards our International Affairs Director, Isabel Cortés, the journal highlights her experience and ability to supervise a wide range of international trademark issues. Cortés has been part of our team for more than 20 years, and this is the second consecutive year she is featured as an outstanding professional in this ranking.
