PONS IP has appointed Carmen González Candela as Head of Trademarks, an expert in distinctive signs with more than 20 years of experience in intellectual property and related to this company since 2007. Carmen takes on the new position at a key moment for the sector, with the upcoming entry into force of the new Trademark Law in Spain, among other regulatory changes. The new manager will lead one of the company’s technical cornerstones, managing a team of more than twenty specialists.
Carmen González holds a degree in Law and a Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property from the University of Alicante. She is also an Official Intellectual Property Agent and she has worked as a Trademark Advisor and Senior IP Attorney for more than two decades. In most recent years, she has been part of the firm’s International Trademark Department, being in charge of coordinating all the matters related to distinctive signs in the European Union.
