After a first half<\/a> of the year marked by a prominent presence in the main international forums, PONS IP has kept up the momentum during the second half of the year with its participation in several of the main meetings that have brought together Intellectual Property leaders in America, Europe and Asia. Under the leadership and coordination of Guillermo Criado<\/strong>, Director of International Business Development, the team of consultants, attorneys and specialists has promoted the consulting firm\u2019s global presence strategy and succeeded in strengthening its position as a leading partner in the management and protection of intangible assets worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agenda for the second half of the year began in August with our participation in the 44th Congress of the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association (ABPI) in Brazil<\/em>, where Nicol\u00e1s Carvajal<\/strong>, Technical Director of Patents at PONS IP Colombia, highlighted the importance of committing to the patent system as a driver of innovation and technological development in the region. In October, PONS IP participated in the CIPAC Congress in China, with our Asia Desk consultant, Jialin Chen<\/strong>, representing the consulting firm in debates on global trends and emerging technologies applied to IP, and later at the AIPPI World Congress<\/em> in Yokohama, where Isabel Cort\u00e9s<\/strong>, International Director of Institutional Projects, and Jialin Chen<\/strong> joined more than 2,700 professionals from 100 countries to address key issues such as artificial intelligence, sustainability, trade secrets, and rights in entertainment and gaming. That same month, Isabel Cort\u00e9s also represented PONS IP at the ECTA Annual Conference in Berlin, where she held meetings with members of the association and established new contacts with key players in managing trademarks, designs and litigation in Europe, strengthening our presence in one of the continent’s most traditional and influential forums from the point of view of intellectual property regulation in the EU. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In November, Patricia Mart\u00ednez-Carrasco<\/strong>, an attorney in PONS IP\u2019s International Department, and Juan Camilo Amaya<\/strong>, Deputy Director of PONS IP\u2019s office in Colombia, attended the Annual Meeting of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA)<\/em> in Kuala Lumpur, consolidating relationships with leading firms in Asia and exploring opportunities for European and Latin American clients. That same month, Guillermo Criado<\/strong> and Isabel Cort\u00e9s<\/strong> participated in the INTA Leadership Meeting<\/em> in Florida, an exclusive forum for global IP leaders, where Guillermo spoke at the Law Firm Committee\u2019s Idea Exchange on attracting and developing talent, sharing PONS IP\u2019s experience in career plans, diversity, well-being and collaborative culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The year concluded with Juan Camilo Amaya\u2019s<\/em> attendance at the XXIII ASIPI Congress in Buenos Aires<\/em>, reinforcing our position in Latin America and addressing issues such as mediation in IP disputes and strategic patent protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, during this half year, we were also present at the FICPI World Congress<\/em> in Naples, with Guillermo Criado<\/em> representing us in debates on international cooperation, AI and the Unified Patent Court, and at the PTMG<\/em> conference, focused on the challenges of pharmaceutical trademarks, which our Director of Institutional Projects, Isabel Cort\u00e9s<\/strong>, attended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this intense international activity, PONS IP reaffirms its commitment to innovation, recognising the importance of global collaboration and excellence in Intellectual Property services. For our General Manager, Nuria Marcos<\/strong>, this intense participation in global forums \u201callows the PONS IP team to anticipate trends, strengthen strategic alliances and continue to add value for our clients in a constantly changing global environment<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With our sights already set on 2026, PONS IP will continue to promote its international agenda with a focus on topics of global interest such as the integration of software and Artificial Intelligence in the management of intellectual property assets, innovation aimed at promoting sustainability as a cross-cutting theme and, at the corporate level, consolidating our presence in markets such as Asia and Latin America with new projects and partners to continue leading the global conversation on intellectual property by offering innovative solutions that respond to the challenges of an increasingly digital and connected world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
