M\u00e1laga has once again become the epicentre of innovation with the celebration of the 14th edition of Feria Transfiere, the main forum for knowledge and technology transfer in Spain. With more than 500 participating companies and institutions as well as representatives from over 40 countries, the event has become a firm fixture in the R&D&I ecosystem. For yet another year, PONS IP, a global consulting firm specialising in intellectual property, has attended this key event, strengthening strategic partnerships with the public and private innovation ecosystem and also proactively analysing regulatory challenges in the field of artificial intelligence and patent management in the public spaces where our company has been able to share its vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artificial intelligence and its impact on research and patents<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the highlights of PONS IP\u2019s presence at Transfiere 2025 was Luis Ignacio Vicente\u2019s participation in the round table discussion titled \u201cArtificial Intelligence as a tool in the research and patenting process\u201d, held at the FYCMA RESEARCH CENTER. In this discussion space and acting on behalf of AMETIC, an organisation of which he is a prominent member, Luis Ignacio shared the stage with experts such as Javier Vera Roa from the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO), Patricia Zerpa Jim\u00e9nez from Alza Care, Manuel Jes\u00fas L\u00f3pez Baroni on behalf of Universidad Pablo de Olavide, and Crist\u00f3bal Carmona del Jes\u00fas, professor at Universidad de Ja\u00e9n and founder of Sipn Of Gaien Data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this session, the participants addressed some of the main challenges associated with artificial intelligence in the field of industrial property and innovation, such as the authorship of AI-generated inventions and the role of AI in patentability processes.<\/strong>Thanks to its capacity to analyse large volumes of data, artificial intelligence is revolutionising the identification of trends and the optimisation of intangible asset protection strategies. The key issue of data governance and European regulation<\/strong> was also discussed. With the entry into force of the AI \u200b\u200bRegulation and the Data Act, the European Union raises new challenges with regards to data access, management, and protection in the digital economy, critical matters for the development of responsible AI models that are aligned with current regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A space for networking and knowledge transfer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

PONS IP was broadly represented at Feria Transfiere this year, led by our Sales Manager, Roc\u00edo Peris Hueso, and PONS IP Strategic Advisor, Luis Ignacio Vicente del Olmo. Together with Mar\u00eda Jes\u00fas Magro Mart\u00ednez, director of Fundaci\u00f3n PONS, Manuel Campanero, director of the Andalusia Office of PONS IP, and Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Montes, deputy director of the same office, held key meetings with sector companies, institutions, and professionals, exploring new collaboration opportunities and strengthening our institutional relationships with entities that came to M\u00e1laga to participate in the Fair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the uncertain weather, the fair once again demonstrated its convening power, bringing together this year, and more than ever, leading experts and organisations committed to generating innovation and technology transfer through the shared commitment to cooperation between science, technology centres, public innovation centres, and businesses. Artificial intelligence, the circular bioeconomy, and new trends in innovation were the focus of the debate at this edition, where PONS IP reasserted its role as a strategic partner in the protection and valuation of knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
