The Strategic Adviser at PONS IP, Luis Ignacio Vicente, and the PONS Business School have officially brought down the curtain in Boston on the second edition of the course WAIQ<\/a> which took place at Harvard School Law<\/strong> thanks to the partnership agreement between the Real Colegio Complutense and Harvard University to teach the course \u201cWeb3, AI, and QUANTUM COMPUTING (WAIQ): Challenges and Opportunities for Innovators, Legal Professionals and other Curious Minds\u201d.<\/p>\n\n

This year builds on the success of the first edition with up to 30 professionals from the technology and legal sectors in Spain and Latin America attending for three days as \u201cprivileged students\u201d of a unique training programme. It brings together the technological, legal and ethical perspective in three training and collaborative work sessions with the aim of providing a holistic view on the impact and challenges of these disruptive technologies in the legal sector, but also from an entrepreneurial dimension. Content specialists from global leading companies such as Nvidia, Microsoft and IBM, as well as Spanish leaders including Telef\u00f3nica or Cepsa, have started conversations on how they should evolve to keep the balance between promoting innovation and preserving the rights of individuals. <\/p>\n\n

In addition, the course allows students to discover the impact of new technologies from the specific perspective of industrial property, a key aspect in the confluence and exploitation of these new technologies. As such, the content focussed on the main digital technologies of the future: Web3 which is the future of the Internet, Artificial Intelligence which is already a revolution with Generative AI, and Quantum Computing which will take data processing and automation to a new level. <\/p>\n\n

To quote Luis Ignacio Vicente, the Strategic Adviser at PONS IP, \u201cwe are very happy with the outcome of these three days because what started as a simple course is now becoming a large knowledge community or, in other terms, the seed to an important think tank on technology and the legal sector\u201d.
