This project is led by Iberdrola and PONS IP is part of the Technical Office, along with representatives from key companies, universities and research entities that make up the consortium, and the event was attended by our Strategic Advisor Luis Ignacio Vicente, accompanied by the Assistant Director-General of PONS IP, Patricia Ramos, and our expert attorney in new technologies, Eric Maci\u00e1 Lang, from the Technological Development and Innovation Area of our consulting firm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IATES<\/strong> aims to deliver solutions that can provide different Artificial Intelligence technologies in the electricity sector so that global efficiency and an emissions-free system are ensured, thus accelerating the energy transition. To this end, more than 60 use cases are now being generated to apply these technologies and they are led by Iberdrola thanks to Next Generation EU funding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PONS IP\u2019s participation in this project represents a major opportunity to affirm its commitment to the transition towards an energy-sustainable, emission-free world in one of Spain\u2019s strategic sectors through the application of innovative technologies. Some of the challenges posed by the project include applying digital twin use cases to this area or quantum algorithms to the energy transition, and that is why PONS IP\u2019s value contribution will be a key component in the intangible asset identification, management and protection strategy generated by said project in the future with the developing use cases. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the event, <strong>Luis Ignacio Vicente del Olmo<\/strong>, Strategic Advisor, positively valued PONS IP\u2019s participation in such an important project. \u201cWe see this as an opportunity to analyse the results from the project\u2019s work packages given the development of relevant companies such as Tecnalia, Minsait, Baobab, Vicomtech and prestigious universities. The aim is to bring this first major project to life with our collaboration, so that AI can be applied to electrical grids that are shifting towards sustainability and alternative energies. In this regard, we feel like trailblazers along with the other participants in the project\u201d. Furthermore, active participation in these projects enables our consulting firm to add another milestone to the objective of adapting IP solutions to the improvements that take place daily in the field of Artificial Intelligence and its need to protect and exploit these intangible assets.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Along the same lines, our Assistant Director-General, <strong>Patricia Ramos<\/strong>, emphasised the positive aspects that lead to the growth of our brand both in the market and at the level of society. \u201cAs a company and as players in the area of innovation that we represent, I view this as a chance for PONS IP to participate in this project, playing a cross-disciplinary role in all the work packages, focusing on the detection, valuation and possible protection of the results obtained throughout the same. It is an honour to participate in this project that is a reality in the energy transformation and to which our country has so much to contribute,\u201d she concluded. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The consortium led by Iberdrola also includes the participation of nine start-ups: Ariadna, Balantia, Baobab, Barbara IoT, eProgram, Flexidao, Rated Power, Singlair and Stemy.
