With the aim of educating young people about the importance of Intellectual Property, the International Trademark Association<\/strong> is launching INTA\u2019s Unreal Campaign for another year<\/strong>, an awareness program which aims to educate young students between 14 and 18 about the dangers of counterfeit and the importance of registered trademarks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For this latest edition, Ana G\u00f3mez<\/b>, from PONS IP’s International Relations Department<\/b> has been appointed as a member of INTA’s Unreal Campaign committee <\/strong>along with 90 other members of the International Trademark Association in North America, Latin America, Asia, Africa and Europe. Members voluntarily participate in the campaign with the aim of promoting the value of registered trademarks among students, boosting consumer confidence by purchasing genuine products and accepting innovation and change, as well as warning them about the risks of counterfeit products.<\/p>\n

‘Our participation in INTA’s Unreal Campaign Committee steps up PONS IP’s contribution to intellectual property and social awareness of registered trademarks, as well as increasing our international presence in the most relevant trademark associations’, <\/em>states Ana G\u00f3mez.<\/p>\n

Since its launch in 2012, the Unreal Campaign has reached over 41,000 students worldwide<\/strong>, as well as adolescents through its direct participation in schools and high-schools, and through online activities.<\/p>\n

According to INTA, this age group is the one that is most concerned with and influenced by brands, as they are considered to be highly susceptible to peer pressure, to the need to fit in and to social media. In light of this, the International Trademark Association works so that young people are aware of the consequences and effects that counterfeit products have on the economy in general, on society, and their own health.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
