PONS IP, a global consulting firm specialising in intellectual property, participated as a guest consulting firm at StartUp Olé, a leading event in Spain for the entrepreneurial ecosystem, innovation and venture capital. This event celebrated its eleventh edition, bringing together more than 150 investors, 700 speakers and more than 3,000 professionals who established Salamanca as the world capital of entrepreneurship and technological innovation during this week.
Following their participation in the first Startup OLÉ in Marbella, PONS IP’s Strategic Advisor, Luis Ignacio Vicente del Olmo, and its Sales Manager, Rocío Peris, repeated their experience in this forum, which aimed at taking startups to the next level, highlighting the value of intangible assets for companies when it comes to growing in the market.
Luis Ignacio Vicente moderated the round table discussion titled “Growth Strategy for entrepreneurs: How to move up successfully”. Together with the sector’s leading experts, they set the foundations for building a correct strategy to manage companies’ intangible assets.
In view of the importance of applying new digital technologies as a tool, PONS IP’s Strategic Advisor recalled that it is also critical to grow by providing value to customers, seeking differentiation, operational efficiency, customer focus and a business model that supports this scaling. “In this context, it is necessary to properly manage the company’s assets: starting with its brand (which is protected and allows internationalisation), and using the company’s own knowledge which is the basis of its culture as well as the technology on which its products are based. To achieve this, there is no better way to manage these assets than through intellectual property rights”, he concluded.
Rocío Peris, for her part, shared a pitch with the attendees in which she explained the services offered by the PONS IP intellectual property consulting firm. In a global and technological market that is constantly evolving, companies face the major challenge of protecting and managing the knowledge and innovations they generate. “At PONS IP we are allies of innovation and research,” she stated. Intangible assets are not an expense for companies, but an investment.
